The Long Service Award Scheme has been introduced since 1990 to foster a sense of belonging among PolyU staff. An award presentation ceremony is held annually for the University to publicly acknowledge the long-serving staff for their years of dedication and devotion.
PolyU adopts a two-tier award system to motivate staff to excel in their work performance and recognize those with outstanding performance or achievement. There are two tiers of awards under the system, namely
Nominations for the "Faculty/School Awards for Outstanding Performance/Achievement" and the "Outstanding Performance/Achievement Awards for Non-academic Staff" are evaluated by the assessment panels.
